Zoo Lights

We all bundled up and went to the Zoo Lights display tonight. Because I was going crazy when mom was trying to get me ready (I saw my sled and wanted to get in it right away... I don't understand why I can't sled IN the house!) we forgot my snow suit (she is blaming me because I carried it away from the pile of things that was supposed to go in the car....). Luckily, I was still able to keep warm. I had on my long underwear, a fleece sleeper, my jacket, wool socks for mittens, an old fleece jacket of dad's, two hats, and a scarf. And I was all bundled in a blanket. I was very warm! Here are some pictures from the evening. It was cool to see the animals at night, and I loved looking at all of the lights... especially the ones that danced with music!

Christmas Pictures!

Here are a few pictures from our little family Christmas. We had a nice time... I had already gotten all of my presents, but Santa left a few things for me in my stocking. One was a carton of eggs that has little chicks inside that cheep when I push on them.  Those are a lot of fun... I like to carry them all over the house.  The other thing was a shopping bag full of soft groceries that rattle. I like to put things in and out of that bag all day long. We also went sledding with the dogs at a real sledding hill. It was pretty fun until we went off the trail and I got covered in snow. I was over sledding after that....

Happy Boxing Day

Sledding!

We have been having a weird winter. It has snowed a lot, then melted, and repeated that process. Right now there is a good amount of fresh snow on the ground, so Mom took me sledding in the back yard again today. I had so much fun she talked about taking me to a real sledding hill sometime this weekend! I can't wait. I did look a bit crazy all bundled up... I lost one of my mittens, so I was wearing socks on my hands. I also like to wear one of mom's scarves.... and all of my hats were in the car, so I was trying to wear mom's hat. No pictures, sadly. It is a bit nuts when me sledding in the yard with the dogs. Lots of action!

Guns and Fire

Aunt Allie gave Dad a cool lighter for Christmas. I think it is fun to walk around and point it at things.... of course, I also like pointing spatulas at people, so who knows what I'm thinking.

Shoes

Also in line with me asking to put hats on, I've been asking to wear shoes. I can't actually get those shoes on, but I do know that shoes go on my feet. You can see in this picture that I am sporting some nice winter clothes.  Grandma Henderson made them for me for Christmas. I have four different ones and I have been wearing them all the time. I have gotten quite a few compliments on them while out and about!

Hats!

Lately I have actually been asking to put hats on. I don't wear them for long periods of time, but I am thinking it is fun to wear them a bit around the house.... Here I am sporting mom's winter hat.

Christmas Elf

Mom has me wearing my Christmas clothes as often as possible these days.  This is my little elf outfit. There is an elf hat in the shed that I am supposed to wear too, but we all know how I feel about hats....

Baby in a box

We have been getting quite a few packages this week and Mom always lets me play with the boxes.... I don't really care what is inside the boxes, as long as I get to play with the box. I was being extremely silly when these pictures were taken.

Swim Lessons

Mom and I started swim lessons yesterday. She thought I was going to have a great time since I love the bath and other water so much. Boy, was she wrong. I screamed the whole 30 mins I was in the pool. I did not like it. I didn't care that there were four other kids having fun, I wanted out. Mom says we still have three more lessons for me to decide if I really hate it.... On the plus side, I looked cute in my swim trunks... but Mom didn't take any pictures.

Daddy Smash

After bath time the other night, Daddy styled my hair and then I decided to climb all over him.... my favorite thing to do is to climb all over Daddy and smash him!

Breakfast Bonanza

I have been loving eating lately. In these pictures, I just finished breakfast.... can you guess what I had? If you guessed blueberries, yogurt, and oatmeal, you are right!

Thanksgiving

Mom took some great pictures of me in my Thanksgiving outfit (that I totally rocked) but she left her camera at Grandma's.... We had a very nice Thanksgiving weekend. We went and saw both sets of grandparents and I ate soooo much food! Also, I forgot to mention that I am walking just about everywhere now. Crawling is for suckers. I love to walk. I'm starting to get pretty quick at it too.... I've heard of running, and can not wait to try that out. It has been nice to have Dad home for four days! What a great family weekend we had. I hope it starts to warm up outside (it has been around 0F) so I can go sledding some more. And just so we can all marvel at how big I am now, here is a picture of me from last Thanksgiving!

Moose!

Last week a moose came and ate our pumpkins off of our porch. I really enjoyed watching him out the window.

Also, mom and dad bought me this long underwear suit to wear under my jammies at night. It helps keep me nice and cozy! 

Mom and Me!

It isn't often that mom finds herself in front of her camera. So, the other day when we were on our way out the door, she asked dad to snap a picture of the two of us.  For some reason, I was not amused by this at all.

Heading to Mars

Dad always tells me that I am going to be heading to Mars when I grow up.... At first I was really excited. It sounds like quite the adventure!

Then I started to think about it and got a little worried....

Good thing I have plenty of time to be a kid before I have to grow up!

I'm Back!!

I know what everyone was thinking.... "Wow, Sawyer, for the first part of November, you were really rocking your blog...." Well, then life happened. I was sick, mom was busy, and then mom got sick. So, the house has been a bit crazy. But, it seems life has settled back down... just in time for the weather to go crazy! It has been windy and cold today! So much so that for the few seconds I wasn't in the house I didn't even try to take my hat off.  Mom has been trying to take pictures of the fun things I've been up to, but I love the camera and really want to play with it.... which has resulted in a lot more pictures that look like this....

I have learned to climb up on the couch by myself, which terrifies mom. I have also started taking a few more steps here and there. I know how to walk, but crawling is so much quicker and I like to do things quickly! Here is one nice picture I let mom take.... I'll try to check in more frequently. Stay warm.

Hats

Mom knows I hate hats. But, she continues to knit them for me. I like to fake her out sometimes and ask to have a hat put on, only to rip it off seconds later....

Reading
