With it being summertime, Mom and I are spending a lot of time outside. We have been going to the zoo, walking to the different parks around the house, and playing in the back yard. It has been amazing. This past weekend, Grandma Connie got me some new shoes and I decided I had to wear them outside... here are a few quick pictures Mom was able to snap of my rocking outfit.

Living up to my name
I love to help dad chop wood! And today he brought home a truck load that needed to be chainsawed and chopped. I was a very good helper and even wore ear protection for a short bit...

Happy Birthday, Dad!
My dad and I have been best friends since the day I came home...
Sure, we have our disagreements...
But, he is pretty fun! He helps make sure I'm a sharp dresser.
We both love to be outside!
And I like to help him with projects.
I think my dad is the best! Mom and I got him a pretty awesome present for his birthday, one that I hope he will let me play with tomorrow... I love you, Dad! Happy Birthday.

Funny Faces
Mom went inside to start lunch the other day while I was outside playing. She caught me making some pretty funny faces at the door....

Reading
I love to read. And Mom will often find me in my room with piles of books, reading to myself. Then I will ask her to read to me. She does different voices for the different people, which is fun. I went to the library book sale this weekend and was able to pick out a couple of new books and I am going to hopefully find some more books at the garage sale this weekend.

I get knocked down
But I get up again. This weekend I was outside playing and ran into a chair... which gave me a pretty bad bruise under my eye. I wasn't too upset about it and went back to running around quickly.

Walk Softly...
...and carry a big stick. I like to take that expression to heart and carry around a stick that is three times my size. I love to walk around the yard and hit things with my giant stick... not the dogs or people, but the big pile of wood, my balls, etc.
